Nana is Managing Director of Rikair Company Limited.  He begun his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Stanford Connecticut as an associate in tax and later on went on to other roles with PWC in New York which included forensic accounting, ethics and compliance, internal audit with a focus on Sarbanes Oxley (404), Foreign corrupt bribery act (FCPA) and Anti bribery act.

After 8 years with PWC, USA, Nana moved to Ghana and worked with Newmont Gold mining as a compliance manager. Always having the goal to one day be an entrepreneur, nana found his calling while studying the healthcare problems in Ghana’s Health care, specifically oxygen shortage or problems within the health sector.

As a result of these problems Nana left Newmont and started Rikair in 2012 as a small startup oxygen company which primarily focused on the filling of medical oxygen for small, medium and large hospitals.  Over time Rikair has grown to become one of the leading oxygen companies in Ghana for the health sector as well as the industrial or mining sector who all use this product as part of their key inputs. The company has also grown beyond just oxygen production into other areas such as hospital design, consultation, medical gas piping and plant installation and most recently providing turnkey hospital solutions for clients.

Nana has also started other successful start ups in the last 5 years which include:

  • Rikair properties – Real estate company providing affordable housing options

  • Rikair Power – A lighting and power company which supplies energy efficient bulbs and streetlights to the energy sector in Ghana

  • Rikogha – A company supplying healthy food to grocery chains in Ghana

"Being a part of this amazing initiative has been one of the highlights of my career.  The chance to help create an avenue for private health care providers, suppliers, companies to navigate a difficult market in Ghana, advocacy with our health ministry and overall net working opportunity has been incredibly rewarding".
